This design has been sitting in my hard drive for months, and I had been too overwhelmed by other priorities to code it. At long last, I bring forth the most complex of my designs yet. It's a fluid blog-type design that makes use of one of my digital paintings, and there's a lot of subtle typography detail. (The painting can be seen in full on my deviantArt account.) At a later date, this will be converted into a full-blown WordPress theme. If you know the inner workings of WordPress, you may wish to tweak the HTML yourself.
I have provided two versions of this layout, one with the sidebar (which I call the sub-bar) on the right and one without. If you get rid of the sub-bar, this main column will span to the rest of the screen. I do not suggest doing so. Without it, the width of this main content area becomes too wide and it begins to hinder readability. It's intended for pages like gallery and link indexes when you may wish to have multiple columns to minimize scrolling. You may also use it when you have a giant image on the side or a similar place holder.
Changing this into a 2 column structure.

<div id="mainDiv">and change it to<div id="mainWide"> - Delete the HTML that generates the sub-bar, that is, everything in between and including
<div id="subBar">and</div> <!-- Subbar -->
